What’s the location of this “sign”?

It’s on the stop sign and was recently put up!

Where on Chicopee street is this located. Address or area? Across from, in front of, on the corner of? Ect ect ect

There are no stop signs on Chicopee Street and no such sign would have been put up as it would be illegal too.

The stop sign is at the end of the 391 northbound off ramp to Chicopee St.

If it’s on the off ramp that is state property.

The city did not put this sign up, but I will look into it and follow up with the 4-12 supervisor I meet with to discuss issues.

These signs should be everywhere. I was almost rear ended the other day because of this

I’d like for the city to put up more signs like this! I’ve also seen signs in other communities saying please donate to a local organization. I’d rather see these people get help then to support an addiction or something else. I’ve almost been rear ended as well!

The city cannot prohibit panhandling. It is protected as freedom of speech as upheld by the SJC. Worcester was sued for millions and lost. Hence the language you see in Holyoke.

Enforce the trespassing then!

Today MSP was parked on the side of the ramp while a guy begged. These people are creating a safety hazard as they are causing traffic backups on the off ramp anytime someone stops to hand them something.

The signs are illegal and not enforceable. Also on state property.
