Thank you for taking the time out of your day to contact the DOT with your concern. You commented that;

​"The off-ramp from I-80 westbound onto 700E northbound is very dangerous due to vehicles stopping/yielding when they are supposed to merge with 700 East traffic. "

It is true that the vehicles that are exiting off I-80 WB at 700 East to go northbound do have their own lane to which they have direct access to. While this lane is there is it still advised that anytime you enter into the flow of traffic you proceed with caution. Just north of here are side streets and driveways that are accessed from 700 East and it is possible that a vehicle could merge into the 700 East "Exiting lane" to make those movements.
In addition to the other vehicles that may make unpredictable moves there is a pedestrian crosswalk across this right turn that drivers must yield to. Slowing down and assessing the situation is the desired response from drivers.

This lane needs to be better marked, with a light, a yield sign, or a sign that would indicate that the 700 East lane is a through lane...from I-80 westbound, the 700 East merge is a blind maneuver and unsafe on many levels. A simple Jersey barrier would demarcate that this lane belongs to the those who exit the freeway. If you would drive this route as often as I have, you would see many close calls.

So... there's a stoplight on the left side, just as you turn RIGHT onto 700 East from this exact location being discussed. This stoplight is completely separate from the ones that are straight on if you were to turn LEFT onto 700 East. I NEVER KNOW IF I SHOULD FOLLOW THIS LIGHT or if it's pertaining to those who are turning left! When this lone light is red, some people stop & then go AND others honk their horn if you so much as slow down, let alone make a complete stop! Which lane is that single light for??? (I think it's on a divider.) Thanks!

We recently received a request to remove vegetation from in front of a yield sign in the same area as this request. I pulled up street view of the area and it looks like there is a sign indicating that the right turn lane has a lane on 700 E. It also looks like there is a pedestrian warning sign and a street light. I think that this may have been resolved since it was submitted several years ago.
