“Pursuant to Florida Statutes §§162.06, 162.21 and 166.0415, the City of Clearwater generally cannot initiate investigations of potential code violations based on anonymous complaints. Informants must provide their names and addresses in order for code enforcement agents or officers to conduct such investigations. However, if you believe that an alleged violation poses an imminent threat to public health, safety, or welfare or imminent destruction of habitat or sensitive resources, you may report such a violation anonymously by calling (727) 562-4720.”
