Why is it that the majority of drivers CAN NOT adhere to the 35 and 40 MPH on Avenida Eldorado ( in Eldorado, Santa Fe, Nm 87508)? I can not begin to tell you how many cars are indeed driving at least 50 MPH and passing me, I am doing the 35 and 40 MPH drive. Not only is it'UNLAWFUL' but DANGEROUS! I see that some of these drivers have children in the car and talking on phones. Maybe twice a year there is police car positioned at the R.R. tract. WAKE-UP PEOPLE.....get up a little earlier, STOP speeding and obey the speeds set!

Gracie--
I agree, not only on Avenida Eldorado but with Avenida Vista Grande as well. Last year, I posted about how dangerous it is right around the Agora and, now that La Tienda is doing so well, it will probably be more dangerous now that Daylight Savings Time is coming to an end.
We have no streetlights, no traffic signals, no sidewalks, many speeders and NO STOP SIGNS!!!
Maybe we cannot do anything about the first three items, but the last two--the speeders and stop signs--go hand-in-hand. What would it cost to install stop signs at intersections throughout Eldorado?
Not as much as a funeral.

It has gotten out of hand here. These are our neighbors and to be honest there was an 80plus yr old man on my tail the other day, I was going 40. Don't you think he could have waited until the last to street on Avenida Eldorado NO...The old putz just had to speed up on my tail and then pass at a good 60 plus, maybe 70. What's his hurry? He was probably going home for lunch. I kind of like those huge monster trucks right up on your tail, with these little weenie men who must pass at 80 and cruise with their cell phones on...OK Buddy, crash, i won't be the one calling 911.

Thursday, 10/19/2011...traveling on Avenida Eldorado, I observed a bluish (large)Ford Truck, New Mexico license plate HK__ - 555, passing another vehicle at approxiamtely 60 mph ( and continued at this speed, even on the 35 mph Casa Del OroRoad.
So if any of you out there know of this truck or are the driver, PLEASE DO NOT PASS A SOLID LINE. You could be responsible for an accident.

WOW...what a great idea to write down license plate numbers!
Do you really think those people are aware of this site?
I just moved into the area and was curious....
Honda - Silver 2 door one of those new turquoise plates LMS-576. I saw you pass a car on Avenida Eldorado on 11/21/11.
Red 2 door truck HYD-614, on I25 heading into town 11/21/11....not only speeding but driving erratic. I should have called it in.
