The real problem is the code compliance department is so under staffed they don't have time to deal with the real criminals and have spent the last couple years harassing the people that are trying to make it. They'll come after you after you've had your property vandalized and ignore the guy who has a broken plate glass window a kid could slice their arm open on near ground level because there is a second pane. they also tend to not want to deal with burnt down houses that remain just a shell that have no copper left because it's not in a good neighborhood anyway.

code compliance did send trash letter to owner on 7-16-2015, they have 7 days to comply or the city will clean up

As of today the porch is still untouched and nothing has been done

Joel, if it is 529 it looks like they were cited on 7/16 and complied on 7/20. Is this the white house or the brown one to the west. If it is the white one we need to find out if they did comply and then moved the trash back on the porch. I have found the porch of the brown house to be as bad.

I GIVE UP, the porch is still a CLUTTERED MESS, according to CODE almost everything on the porch is a violation of what isn't supposed to be kept on a front porch and thus making it look trashy. While I think the owners are decent people, THE SAME RULES SHOULD APPLY TO ALL, especially considering we where fined by the city for ONE ITEM on a porch that the city had a contractor remove and then charged $700 and because the city had paid for it there was no fighting it, the "joke of an appeals board" denied the claim.
