Money-maker is right! Rt 1 by-pass highway has nothing to do with Upper Providence expenses. It is patrolled by State Troopers.

Upper Providence police generate much of their revenue by traffic violations. This is just one of many, many spots in the township where they sit and wait. I only wish they put as much effort into driving through the neighborhoods and keeping a watchful eye open.

Sounds like the OP is a victim of the "speedtrap"!!! The speed limit is 55mph, how hard is that to understand? Nowhere in the county does any PD stop someone for going 1 or 2 or 5mph over the speed limit. I know for a fact they get people doing 75-80 plus on that road. And to the person that said the road is designed for 65mph, they sure do get an awful lot of crashes for traffic that should be doing 55mph. The bottom line is SLOW DOWN!!!!

The officer is "protecting and serving". He is protecting me from reckless drivers who ignore speed limits without any regard for other drivers on the road. Did you think that it may be a high accident location and his mere presence slows down traffic to people who are only thinking of their life and not to the other members of our society.

55 is the speed limit for good reasons. But you need to exceed it? And then complain when you are caught? I'm having trouble with your logic. I am very happy to have our police officers there protecting me from speeding drivers.

55 is not the speed limit for a good reason... The law that made the speed limit 55 was passed why? Maybe you should look it up, if you know how to read. It wasn't for safety. It does not remain the law for safety either.

I bet you would have been screaming the same thing at all the victims of discrimination before the passage of the civil rights laws. You thought that those uppity minorites should all be punished for breaking the law.

Bet you think that laws that states passed that make it a crime to take video of the police are just dandy too.

And it's okay that when a policeman gets pulled over for speeding when he is off duty, he flashes his FOP card and gets let go. Because the law should only apply to some people.

Because those that pass the laws are never wrong, and when they make an error, everyone should just blindly follow it.

And of course, if the police arrest you for something, you are automatically guilty. We don't need courts at all. We can just throw out that part of the constitution.

And of all the laws that exist, the one you hate the most is the first amendment. Or the thirteenth.
