That section of Heisley should be widen to four lanes to handle all the traffic.

Truck traffic (fully loaded semi's) have increased on Heisley and these trucks are speeding as much as the cars. Should a semi crash, what is in their cargo? A good portion of Heisley is residential but due to traffic and speeding looks and feels like a freeway. This stretch is "another" accident waiting to happen as Heisley has seen many accidents.

I agree, for the amount of congestion the speed need to be lowered AND ENFORCED!!

To answer a few people here:

1) Cops do patrol regularly on Heisley. They post up at the bottom of the bridges (just past Polychem if you are heading north), at the top of the bridges (right outside the Jackson/Heisley intersection), and at the fire station. I see them at least once a week in one of those three spots. They may not spend the whole day there, but I wouldn't want them to do that because there are more important things I want cops to do than sit around all day waiting for speeders.
2) Heisley will be widened to four lanes. The project should start either next year or 2013. It will be four lanes from Mentor Ave to past the freeway.

They should just widen it to 4 lanes and make the speed limit 45 mph from the jackson intersection all the way past rt 2.

I do not think we can fix "stupid driving." People just do not care about the other driver, especially in MENTOR. I do not think this is any of youpeople who post here, but the ones that just do not care about anybody. I do not think it takes a lot of effort to be couteous to others when driving. People stay in that right lane and cut others off at Heisley and Jackson as if they have the right of way;they do not use their turn single to change lanes and catches everybody off gueard and then smash, we are all late.I would liketo have aword with youpeoplewho do this, why? You do not save any time on your journey, you know this right? Anyway I agree with this ticket, God bless.
