Description

At the corner of Wyoming Drive & Kentucky Drive the street light has been out for several months and has been reported several times with no response. I have contacted our alderman, Nancy Johnson, our Puplic Works Dept. and sent e-mails directly to Com Ed using there on-line forms. I have been informed by our city rep. that the City of Rockford has a maintaince contract with Com Ed that all lights on wooden poles are the responsibility of Com Ed to maintain. We as tax payers who are paying Com Ed for this maintaince service are not getting in return our investment. I find it the fault of the City of Rockford for not enforcing a contract and the fault of Com Ed for not responding to what is not only a safety issue but also their responsibilty. We, as a neighborhood, are most concerned with the lack of lighting as a safty issue and expect the light to be repaired in the very near future.
I have also left a message at Mr. Paul Callighan office reporting this situation and again, no response.
