Why does it take an HOUR to go from the overpass of i95 to the Wawa on Chichester avenue lately (when that route measures about 2/10ths if a MILE)? Traffic has NEVER been this SLOW. Someone must have mucked with the Meetinghouse traffic light. Going 2/10's of a mile in an HOUR is unacceptable. This problem started about 2 weeks ago; and it getting progressively worse. Its not construction in the area; (which IS an issue), it's something more; like some idiot decided to change the traffic light ratio on MeetingHouse. Disagree? Try to drive the road around 5PM from beginning to end. You'll die of old age before you ever see your destination. (to the architect of such a great design; I'll get your fireproof suit ready.. I'll be first; but, I'll keep your seat warm!)

It's because of Naamans Creek Rd project & the road is closed between Meetinghouse Rd & Foulk Rd. Drivers are forced to use Chichester Ave & that is causing traffic nightmares every day during rush hour.

Problem is that instead of installing left-turn arrows at the intersection, the money was spent on that (beautiful, old-timey) clock at the corner. Makes sense, though...you may not see traffic move; but you'll definitely get to see the clock hands move.
Most of that backed-up traffic used to come barreling down Beeson and Redwood (formerly known as the Chichester Ave By-Pass). Suggest you turn right at the Sunoco station, past the fireworks outlet, and onto Blueball.

I can see many complained about not having left turn light & it's not going to make much difference having one. Traffic back ups starts at Chichester Ave at Bethel Ave. & the timing is bad on both lights. I drive thru Chichester Ave more than 5 times during rush hour delivering pizza & I see where it starts. Blaming on intersection of Meetinghouse Rd & Chichester Ave is not the answer believe me. About the town clock money wasn't spent from highway fund & that was separate fund.

The PennDOT Route 491 project has increased the traffic on Chichester ave due to road closures. Namaans Creek is closed bewteen Meetinghouse and Larkin Road.

Naaman's creek rd is closed with police stopping cars from cutting through...forcing cars to use chi ave. but continue to blame the designers, that's helpful!

The traffice is terrible. I was trying to figure it out too. How about this if you dont live in the area find another route so those of us who do can get home.

Actually, the traffic is caused by the road work on Naamans Creek Road. Most people used to use that route but they aren't able to because of the road being shut down which causes them to use Chichester Avenue and Meetinghouse Road.

I agree. The traffic there is horrible and I will not venture down that way after 4:00 during the week.
