problem does not seem to be the length of the light. the problem seems to be, as you indicated, drivers who disobey the signal. i drive that intersection several times a week. i do not see a problem w/ the turn arrow/signal.

As I indicated in my update, there is not a problem if you are northbound on Perryville turning left, west,) it is if you are southbound on Perryville turning east. I drive it two times everyday and count 3.5 cars consistenty.

i live right by there and the turn signals timing is just fine..... during rush hours, your going to have to wait...... thats traffic leave earlier for work or school..

I too live right by there and travel it four times each workday. Northbound is just fine. The problem is southbound turning east onto Riverside from Perryville. 3.5 cars get through before the light turns red. And by the way, I always allow myself plenty of time to get to and from work and am one of the more patient drivers out there contrary to your assumption. I do not run red arrows or speed up for yellow lights. The problem is that many others do, hence the problem with the light only allowing 3.5 cars to turn. I have witnessed 3-4 cars turning left after the light has changed during rush hour.
