The pedestrian cross walk lights installed near the church (83rd & Macoma) seem to only work half of the time. Seems that every time I'm crossing with the kids it doesn't seem to work. The city should put some priority on this especially with the new park open and school buses picking up and dropping off in this area.
Thank you for reporting this issue to us via SeeClickFix St. Pete. We will review the details you have provided and forward them to the appropriate City department so that they may investigate and take any necessary action. We appreciate your help! Sincerely, Mayor's Action Center
Update from Neighborhood Transportation: a technician was sent to check out this crosswalk signal and discovered it had been tampered with. Someone removed the protective cover, disabled the mechanism, and returned the cover so that it would be more difficult to tell what was wrong. It has now been re-activated, so the signal is available to use again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The suggestion for the addition of a bike lane has been forwarded to Pinellas County for their consideration as they maintain this section of roadway.
