I live in this area and frequently walk to the store and Imam always being harassed by men thinking Im a prostitute because Im white. I have noticed several differant woman hanging out on the corner of Sherman and Chapel and about 2 weeks ago there was a woman who looked pregnant out there which was appalling. I wish they would do an undercover sting operation. These woman are out there early in the morning, My husband who works third shift was coming home at 7:30 am and was parking the car on Chapel near the intersection of Sherman and when the prostitute saw him parking she ran over to him which disgusted him, like he said its gross are kids have to be subjected to this.

I will get on this as soon as possible. this is a old problem in our neighborhood that somehow has resurfaced. Thanks for your concern. Will call Lt. Hassett.

This problem is still going on especially on Chapel between Hotchkiss and Sherman. Last night while walking to the store a saw a white women hanging on the street and a white older van stopped and she ran to it and got in. I have seen her before walking back and forth. I will try to get a photo.

At the block watch meeting for West Haven on 20 April, Lt. Hassett reported that this woman has been arrested.
