Any update on this? It's been a few months and no progress. See attached picture. Pretty easy call to remove the tree pit.

Code enforcement requested to come and cite location. Still unfixed. Have seen multiple people trip into the pit, strollers go in, and during rain when you can't see the pit.

The problem continues to get worse.

They moving of the mailbox helps, however, the sidewalk is still not ADA compliant due to the stairs and the trees pit being only 2'4" apart. A wheelchair cannot pass. Also, two people cannot pass each other. The trees needs to be moved. Look at the attached photo. How is this code compliant?

That grate still looks like a tripping hazard. As it's not even with the sidewalk.
That tree is just in a bad place.

I checked out the tree grate. It's too high and it may actually be worse than the open tree pit. Perhaps while waiting for a proper tree grate, the City can take the grate from the next tree up on Bergen Ave and move it to this tree pit because that tree grate is the property height.

P.S. it's hard to see in the picture above but the two sections of sidewalk are different heights so there are three different heights that make his hazardous(two different heights of sidewalk plus the third height of the tree grate).

May I ask what the owners of Capital One and it's management company are doing about these problems? Their stairs are contributing to the problems there and the sidewalk belongs to them. Don't they have a responsibility to make this safe for us?
