This is a terrible piece of town planning. Very dangerous. It is compounded by the lack of a footpath on the north side of Pearl and an illegal car park on Pearl approaching Orange that diverts pedestrian traffic into the middle of the street.

Also, there is no sidewalk at all on Pearl past Lincoln on either side of the street. Both sides of this street need sidewalks from Orange until the new walkway- at the moment, it looks like an alley. If I'm walking from the north and turning right on Pearl, why would I cross the street to a sidewalk that just ends at Lincoln?

This has become a huge problem- I see pedestrians in the middle of that section of road constantly. There is sidewalk on one side, but no one uses it, instead they choose the road instead. If they were half aware of their surroundings it wouldn't be so bad. I have to honk my horn to get people off their phones and off to the side of the road !!! (another issue lol) As mentioned, the cars illegally parked opposite the sidewalk cause a one lane road with dozens of pedestrians walking in the road. Getting more dangerous everyday. Alderperson ???? any suggestions ?
