Thank you for advising the Town of Hillsborough about the bumpy road surface on Tournament Road. The Public Works Street Supervisor inspected the roadway and ascertained that there is a significant amount of road work that needs to be completed to rectify the existing situation.

The Town of Hillsborough will be developing a Capital Improvement Project (CIP) regarding repair of streets throughout the Town in next year’s 2012/13 budget. This is typically developed by using the Town’s Pavement Management System and knowledge of the existing streets that require a significant amount of work. In order to receive Federal Gas Tax Funding the Town is required to develop CIP road repairs using the Pavement Management System.

Over the next few months staff will develop the CIP project for street repairs throughout the Town. If Tournament meets the requirements using the above methodology it could be included in the CIP project for next year.
