still terrible. noticed a recent sign prohibiting through-trucks of over 10,000 lbs. that may help prevent further damage, but the road needs to be LEVELED and resurfaced.
There are too many large potholes to count now. One particular one in the west bound lane is so large that it spans the entire lane. There are dozens in one spot just east of Lady Jessica Isle across both lanes. PLEASE take care of this!
This is the worst road I have experienced in the area. The pot holes cause people to have to drive down the center of the road which has a lot of hills creating a potential for disaster. This road continues to crumble daily. It is frustrating and unsafe.
Road is terrible! I have to pull over in a "good" spot almost every morning as a school bus must take the middle of the road. Not safe to take the middle of the road over all the hills but the road is crumbling away on the edges. Potholes so big my 5 year old could lay down in them!! Something NEEDS to be done to fix this!
Although there's been an attempt to temporarily fix the potholes, the "fix" is still so uneven that people have to drive down the middle of the road and navigate certain areas extremely slowly. In my opinion, this road need to be leveled and repaved.
Potholes on east and west bound lanes force most to drive down the center of the road. Combine that with speed limit of 45mph ....this is a recipe for disaster. Someone will end up seriously hurt if this is not taken care of
There had been a barrel dropped down into a large pot hole between the guardrail and the shrinking amount of pavement that was left on the bridge over the creek. They did a concrete repair on it a couple weeks ago which helps some.
Work crews came through on December 30, 2014 and created a should of sorts. That may eventually help with water run-off, but certainly didn't repair any existing potholes.
The road is in HORRIFIC condition I completely agree with Sarah Stout. There is going to be accident one day as people HAVE to drive down the middle of the road in order to not damage their cars. This is a main street that has a tremendous amount of daily traffic. Something needs to be done ASAP.
Temporary patching done this weekend. The workers try very hard, but they're fighting a losing battle. Patching only works for a few weeks, potholes reappear and new ones are created. The county needs to bite the bullet and resurface this stretch of road. (D Drive N between 6 1/2 Mile and Beadle Lake).
The road gets worse by the minute. the patching doesn't last and we are back to huge holes. The danger of an accident happening increases as more potholes appear with people driving down the middle of the road to not damage their cars. This is a heavily traveled road. A new road needs to be put in.
The patching that was just completed does not even begin to touch the problem. For as many holes that patching was added to there are twice as many more holes. A complete new road needs to be put in to solve this problem. I pray it doesn't take a serious accident to resolve this issue.
These are getting rapidly worse! There are long spans on this road where even driving in the middle of the road isn't helpful! Almost 2/3 of this stretch of road is pothole ridden. Cold patch isn't working. Please fix this soon! It's scary and some of us (who LIVE on Harper Creek Drive, Lady Jessica Isle, and D Drive N) have no choice but to use this terribly riddled road.
The stretch of road from lady Jessica to beadle lake is pretty much gravel and potholes. I've started trying to avoid that stretch and only use the section from lady Jessica to 6 1/2 mile whenever I can. Ever since the bridge was out on B drive a few years ago and traffic got diverted to D drive, the road has just kept crumbling apart.
This road needs to be fixed ASAP! One of the worst roads in Battle Creek and the patching didn't last at all. Numerous people have received damage to their cars and this is a heavily traveled road especially on Saturdays and Sundays. Thanks for considering.
As usual, the temporary patching isn't lasting. There are NO smooth spots on this road at all. We know the money is there. This needs to be completely resurfaced.
We're almost to winter weather, and the pot holes are horrendous NOW. How much worse does this road have to get for the county to SERIOUSLY address this?
There are several enormous new potholes. People continue to drive down the middle of the road and even at 25 mph (20 below the posted limit), find it difficult to avoid potholes.
So, here I am - with 4 bent rims! I have called my insurance company but it cheeses me off that I have to go through all of this because the county can't actually FIX this road! New potholes daily.
Yep, also noticed these large potholes in eastbound lanes. Once again it's impossible to drive down this road without driving in the middle of the road or in the opposite lane to avoid the huge holes! Every time it rains, new potholes appear and/or old ones get bigger.

Still several holes that need patching.
