Description
Hello, I had my driveway extended from my RV gate to the sidewalk The curb in front of my driveway extension is a 90 degree angle Most of the curbs in my neighborhood are nice curved curbs so you can nicely drive up and down them How can I get my curb fixed so I can nicely drive up and down my new driveway and not down a curb?
I will pay for the changes I'm just not sure how to go about requesting the changes
I've attached 2 pictures from Google maps showing my home and driveway so you can see
Thank you,

Hi, neighbor!
We've sent this over to our streets and sidewalk team to get their input. Stay tuned here as we update. This will likely go through a few people so we'll post here as we have new information for you.

Thank you for reaching out with your question. Modifications to the driveway and sidewalks in front of your home is possible. Most of your driveway is on your private property. Sidewalks are typically in the Right of Way (ROW). Since the ROW is public space, it has to meet the requirements of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
Your subdivision was platted in 1998. Since your subdivision and home were constructed, changes have been made to the ADA by the United States. Your existing driveway and the pedestrian ramps do not meet the current ADA regulations. There is a type of "rolled" curb (I suspect similar to what you described in your request) that can meet the ADA requirements.
Making those types of changes does require getting a permit to perform work in the ROW. I am going to try and assign this 311 request to someone in the Town's Development Services Department. You can reach out via the telephone to our Customer Service Professionals for assistance about who you need to visit with. (480-503-6700) You can visit the Town's website for the One Stop Shop or visit the One Stop Shop in person on the 1st floor or the Municipal Building II, 90 E. Civic Center Drive. They will be able to help or direct you to the help you requested.
