Description

The path down Lakeview Road between Lake Ave and Keene Rd is similar to a racetrack. This stretch has no stop signs or speed humps to help keep traffic at the 30 mph posted speed. It is obviously an ongoing safety concern, as there are speed flashers that tell drivers when to slow down. These flashers do no good and people speed right past them. There are never any speed traps and I had to call to request an officer monitor the area on Halloween for the safety of children. In addition to excessive speed, passing is also allowed. This causes speeders to go around drivers that are following the speed limit, an even larger safety issue. It's scary just to get in/out of my driveway. Has a four-way stop ever been considered in any of the intersections? Something has to be done before a person or animal gets hurt.
