Boro Council meetings are the second Wednesday of every month at 8:00 in the Rec Building.

I fully agree, West Magnolia Ave. is a race track. Cars speed through the stop signs at W. Magnolia Ave at Sycamore. If you see one police car a day patrol that area your lucky. In all fairness, several months you will see a police car parked attempting to catch speeders and stop sign violators, but they stay for about fifteen minutes. REMEMBER ELECTION DAY NOVEMBER 8, and we can change this!
Someone is going to get killed and I will certainly afford myself as a witness for the plaintiff!

actually i have seen them there several times and if you check with them they are pretty agressive on traffic enforcement. all along magnolia cars come thru and in reality what looks like speeding to some is really not speeding or excessive at all.....just check with the courts or public records...they do go after the speeders in the school zones and stop signs, remember they cant be everywhere, and ppl complain about if they write tix and not go aftr the real bad guys.....also b carful wat ya wishfor...some departments have undercovr cars or unmarkd police cruisers.....they will get ya if u violate trafic codes...

oh and that runnaway car was in the news...and it ran away from the cops who chased it and tried to stop it aftr it almost took out several motorists....check the news..so.....nobodys been silent....and if by silent u mean they wouldnt tell u, it just means they r still workin on the case and its not public knowledge yet.......

I'm the poster on this one. I'm not saying anyone is silent. I know police can't be everywhere. I understand. I'm related to several in law enforcement, including 2 police Chiefs, so don't get me wrong, I'm not cop bashing here. I'm saying other action needs to be taken if the area can't be patrolled regularly. How about 4 way stops and increased fines for rolling stop sign violations? If you drive through Lansdowne, you will see new warnings of increased fines for rolling through stop signs. Ever since those were added to the stop signs I've noticed people being 10 times more careful when going through Lansdowne. Things like this really work. 4 way stops at each corner would deter people from using it as a short cut also. Aldan is a community of Homes, which also makes it a community of pedestrians. I just feel the safety of Aldan's pedestrians is more important than someone getting home from work 2 minutes sooner because they were able to race down Magnolia instead of wait at a few lights on Providence.
