This is NOT about Columbus Circle, it's about the intersection on the west side of Union Station on 1st St NE and G Place.

Please do not close it until there is a signaled intersection or lighted crosswalk there.

311 service request # 12-00052216 is in to repaint the 3 cross walks on G Street.
311 service request # 12-00052195 is in to repaint the cross walk as you exit the Metro Station.

Maintaining the current cross walk may provide additional pedestrian safety.

The NoMa BID will also put in a request for an accessable ramp and additional striping for First Street, NW, in line with the north sidewalk of G Place, and for crossing G Place.

First Street, NW, between G Street and NY Ave., will be rebuilt / remilled late 2012 / early 2013.

This issue somehow did not get assigned a tracking number from DC311. If you want them to do something you're going to have to report it again and they'll put a tracking number in the comments so we can track progress.

Right but what I mean is that without a tracking number it will not be fixed (unless you know of something in the works separate from this issue here). So if you resubmit it you should get a tracking number.

Just as an example, this issue was opened, got an Issue #, and then was closed with a resolution listed:

You're just tilting at windmills if you expect to get any resolution from a non-numbered request. Keeping it open doesn't help anybody unless 311 is actually aware of it. Hope that makes sense.

More than 9 years after first being reported and still a dangerous intersection. This intersection should be pedestrianized, at least during rush hour - NYC pedestrianized Times Square, we can do it too.

It's been over 7 years. Think we can get some repairs here?
