Until we close the exit from the Pulaski to Saint paul's the traffic will continue with cut through traffic. There should be no left turn onto Saint Paul's at Tonnelle and when exiting both bridges onto saint paul's. Traffic that is heading to Holland Tunnel needs to take 139 lower roadway or Tonnelle ave north.

People speeding through the stop signs, driving into oncoming traffic and I can not get out of my driveway. The box at jfk and tonelle are blocked. How will I be able to shop for food. I’m a prisoner in my own neighborhood and how will I be able to participate in thanksgiving. I might starve.

People were speeding down St. Paul’s during the whole pilot. Where should people who live on liberty ave or Skillman Ave go if they stop left turn from tonelle Ave? People were gridlocked when this silly pilot was in place yet you’re complaining you can’t get out of your driveway and are gridlocked? It’s thanksgiving weekend, with people trying to get home. these complaints can’t be real.

Glad the pilot is over and the local people took action to get it removed prior to the 28th. Happy to be able to maneuver freely without going in a circus.

Seems like the city doesn’t care and wants to cater to the few residents who complained. It’s terrible having certain streets gridlocked in.

I only care about things that effect me and do not care about others around me. My opinion is always right no matter how many facts I do or do not have.

There is traffic on JFK. This is unacceptable. Whoever did this should be fired.

Curious - why do you care if there’s traffic on JFK? The person who thought a one way is a solution should be fired. The person who reversed it has common sense.

The person complaining about their driveway just sounds like privilege is kicking in. Residents in the immediate area don’t even have a driveway; if you’re concerned with being able to get out of the driveway, just park on the street like the rest of JC residents :)

What if I need to go to the hospital?! What if there is a fire!?

How’s does making St. Paul’s a one way solve that? Wouldn’t that mean the first responders will take longer to get to their location since they have to go all around? Not following how traffic on JFK is because St. Paul’s is a two way again? JFK has traffic because it’s only one lane until Lake St, starting at Stagg in both directions. Maybe you can open a new issue for having construction at this time and JC can review that instead of blaming it on the two way street (fyi it’s been like this for over 30+ years). Stop trying to reinvent something that’s not broken

Don't Fire trucks go down one way roads? Considering this would be a extra wide one way pretty sure they would fit.

They also fit in an extra wide two way street since they can turn their sirens which indicates an emergency. People understand it

Never been an issue until someone who believes they have a “progressive” mind set wants to come here and reinvent the wheel. How many accidents are there on St. Paul’s? Haven’t seen any. How many fatalities? None what about speds who don’t know how to utilize a cross walk? Plenty! How many non proficient vehicle operators make their way through St. Paul’s? Probably plenty. Talk to the north district community relations officer to have traffic violations enforced here. That’s a better idea then making it a one way

I agree with nonyabeezeax and LocalHeightsResy: it's crazy that the city keeps focusing on pedestrian safety at the expense of drivers (both in JC and the suburbs!). I can’t tell you how many times I had to slam on my brakes because some kids or residents are crossing in the crosswalks on St. Pauls to go to school. Absolutely ridiculous and selfish behavior on their part. Three cheers for the luxury condo residents that got this pilot scrapped so drivers like us can have our commutes back!

For real! Hats off to them. These selfish St. Paul’s residents don’t realize that there’s humanity on the other side of the block too (Van Winkle Ave). People live there too and having all cars redirected from St. Paul’s forced it up to Van Winkle, disturbing them. It’s a city - there will be noise and cars. Don’t like it? Move

Amen to that, they should get rid of the sidewalks on Van Winkle and make it a two-way street too!

Is there an update Victor? The signs are going to accidents and St. Pauls ave needs to remain a 2 way street. My family has been here for over 50 years and there’s never been issue until now.
