We have entered this into the queue for a study, there is a tremendous amount of requests and limited funding. We are working on getting studies done based on various criteria and these studies take awhile to conduct. We will do our best to get to this as soon as possible.

This was submitted last summer and was acknowledged and then deleted. This happened three times. So each time it gets put to the back of the queue. So, stop ignoring the problem and actually do something.

For funding, our building 20 Newport pkwy pays about $2 million a year in property tax and we cannot walk on the surrounding streets street safely. There’s always a car speeding or cutting us off. Where’s all the money going?
We are owners looking for a return on our taxes. If this is not happening we can find better cities to live in.

So, what happened to the request that was submitted last summer? The city deleted it without acting. It’s been submitted at least four times and each time the city acknowledges it and then eventually deletes it without doing a thing. One crosswalk has zero signage indicating that it’s there. None. It would take about 30 seconds of a traffic study to figure that out. Yet, the city ignores it. How about putting those crosswalk signs that sit on the street? Just do something!!! Anything!!

Can you all let us know what streets are controlled by Newport "Lefrac" and which streets that have been put under the city's purview? Some of these issues have to be fixed by "Newport".

BTW - this neighborhood has been awkwardly split apart during the ward redistricting - contact your councilpersons from Ward E and Ward D, also get an At-Large councilperson or two involved. Use them to advocate for you - your taxes might actually pay for them too.

It is never deleted, it is marked as a duplicate. It does no one any good to have a bunch of tickets open for the same issue, it causes confusion and takes more time to sort. We are still evaluating the more than 400 requests for pedestrian safety studies for the upcoming paving season. While every intersection and issue is important, evaluating all the requests and prioritizing them takes time.

Please note that issues marked as duplicates, even if posted by different requestors, get all of the updates posted here. This insures that every requestor is updated at the same time. These are the 3 other issues you posted with the same request, they are all still attached to this one. #14218425 #13170893 #14037575 I sincerely hope that it makes sense to efficiently follow up on one ticket rather than searching for all of the tickets and having to individually update each one, while at the same time telling you we have limited staffing and resources. Therefore, being efficient is essential.

Any yet this was submitted last summer and still nothing has been done. Nothing. Duplicate or not. The just makes the issue disappear from the app, so another one is submitted since there is no record of it being addressed on the app. It gets acknowledged and then is disappears. Why don’t you just keep this request open versus just acknowledged? Better yet, just address the issue.
