In addition to reporting on FixIt you should also report via City of Meriden Website "service request" http://meridenct.virtualtownhall.net/MeridenCT_ServiceRequests/DPWServiceRequests Unfornuately, after hitting "send" you don't get the opportunity to print out a copy of the submission for your recrords so before hitting send print out a copy of the page (I learned this) and then print a copy of the next page that comes up also, it states something like your request has been sent.
If it were me, I'd all call the Mayor, Corporate Counsel and City Manager to let them all know what has happened due to the lack of maintenance of the road. Then after calling them, put it in writing. From experience, I tried mailing letters and go not one response, even tried mailing certified return receipt requested and still no response, no nothing, letters never acknowledged. so as an alternative hand deliver the letters and have a copy of the letter with you so whoever you give it to can sign and date it as recieved.
I'm not a lawyer or try to pretend to be one but I believe you can also get reimbursement for the repair cost by putting in a Notice of Claim with the city. Include the invoices
