I agree that the speeding is an issue, along with the general attitudes of drivers, especially during the rush hours. This is a main cycling route between Westville and downtown. However, if you're on a bike and you make people drive slower because the lane isn't wide enough for cars to pass safely, you get car horns blaring and people cutting you off mercilessly. Bicycle culture is starting to thrive in New Haven, but this is one of the reasons why the average person refuses to change from four wheels to two to get around town.
