Description

Every time it rains more than 5 minutes the entire back of the house and garage floods due to the newer homes around me. The higher elevation homes have created a bowl on the property. Ive just built out the garage space and am concerned this issue will now flood my furnished home.

also asked...
Q. What flooding problem are you reporting? (choose one of the following)
A. Alley Flooding
Q. Describe the location of the flooding (where and approximately how deep was the flood water?)
A. Flooding is in the alley behind 836 30th Ave N. Depending on the rainfall, it can be upwards of 3"+ deep.
Q. How long did the flooding last? Please provide the date(s) and time(s)
A. Several hours after the rainfall subsides.
Q. Has flooding occurred at this location at other times in the past? If so, how frequently?
A. Every time it rains. There is no stormwater drainage in the alley and the alleyway is at an elevation that drives water towrds the home.
Q. Please provide any additional comments or information, such as if this event was caused by severe weather or tidal activity? Was there movement to the flood water? Was the flooded area close to a storm drain? If known, please provide the finished floor elevation of your home as well as any other property-related details.
A. Now that the home has a finished garage, this reaccuring flooding persents a significant possibility of serious damage.
