Why is this unresolved after over a month? This is easily one of the biggest blights in the entire community.

What is taking the city so long? If this were in the Fan it would have been fixed immediately.

Cause people are not getting involved and or not organized to put enough pressure on the City to get things taken care of.

The inspector has notated, in the case file, that the reported issue has been corrected to meet code regulations. Thank you for your patience.

This has not been fixed. Letter of non-compliance is still tacked to the front door. The porch is worse than ever, it's sagging badly and looks like it will collapse. Windows are still broken. Siding is still missing. There are still late holes big enough for varmints. The inspector that reported this as closed needs to have their job examined.

Tree knocked down during the hurricane broke the fence. No word on getting this fixed and removed before the power lines get taken out.

Can the seller be forced to sell to someone who will fix up this house?

This is Emily, the 4th Precinct MPACT coordinator for the City. I asked Code Enforcement to give me an update on this property based on the photos below. The update is below:
"We re-visited this property and found that the while the main dwelling is still structurally sound, the front and side porch has experienced severe deterioration cause by long-term exposure to moisture and the elements. The support posts and columns serving the porch have advanced decay. We are processing the necessary paperwork/ legal notice and then will solicit bids for City contractor to remove the dilapidated porch. A tax lien will be placed against this property for these costs. The owners of the property are deceased. Mike has sent to DPW a work order to clean the lot."

Please share this information with other neighbors who may be concerned about the property.

Emily, if the owners are deceased, where does thy put the status of he deed? And with the tax lien, does that make it possible for the city to claim the property after a certain number of days? I am asking I see how a potential purchasing of this property would take place. An empty lot with his house cleared would benefit the community much more than a vacant dilapidated structure.

If the house is structurally sound, please sell to someone who will fix it up and live in it. Not a flipper.

I wish they could find the hiers to the house before the city tears it down.
