I still haven't seen anything done about this problem. Someone needs to pay attention to this before someone gets into a serious accident or killed at that intersection.

Has anyone even been to this intersection and checked it out. I am by there quite often and see the way drivers cut drivers off who are in the left lane rather than turning down New Lombard Rd or into Westfield Bank. The drivers in the right lane need to be forced to make a right hand turn or wait their turn in the left lane to go straight thru the light.

This is a shout out to Doug Ellis. Have you checked out this problem on Burnett Rd??? Just saying, this is a dangerous situation when vehicles in the right lane are cutting off vehicles in the left lane to continue going straight on Burnett Rd. There is no reason for the right lane to do anything other than take that right onto New Lombard Rd. Anyone turning into Westfield Bank can do that very easily after going through the light.

I guess this click fix is a waste of time. I also submitted another problem on Rolf Ave. and have NEVER heard anything on this situation......EVER. So I won't be bothering with these two problems again.

The layout of the intersection of Burnett Road and New Lombard Road has existed for many years. New Lombard Road does not have the traffic volume to warrant a "Right Turn Only" lane. There are two lanes through the intersection and those two lanes merge past the light when heading east on Burnett Road. Vehicles in the right lane are not cutting off vehicles in the left lane, they are trying to merge as the layout intends them to do. Vehicles in the right lane should use the full length of that lane to merge to the left lane. Vehicles in the left lane need to allow those vehicles to complete that merge. There are no current plans to change the layout of that intersection.

There is no need for 2 lanes to go thru that light then merge. I drive it often and YES the right lane DOES cut off the left lane. People only get in that right lane when its busy and they don't want to wait in line like the rest of us to go thru that light so they get in the right lane and cut off people who have patiently been waiting for the light to change "in line". Maybe you need to go sit there at a busy time of day and watch, then say people don't cut anyone off.
