In warner robins on roads near Dunwoody and Houston Lake road they have speed bumps every 300 to 500 feet on the residential roads. You may just need stop signs for 3 way stops and 4 way stops to make the cars slow down or have a two way stop for a straight road to stop every so many 500 feet to deter them from using the road. People obey stop signs usually and red lights, but red lights are expensive. A stop sign is the cheapest option. Speed bumps have to be paid for by the street residents. Speeders are dangerous and they can run off the road into residential yards and houses. Speeders have been known to run over people who are on public sidewalks. The speed bumps like at middle Georgia state college between Columbus Rd and Eisenhower parkway would be a good type of speed bump. The City needs to ask for a penny sales tax for public SAFETY measures and install crosswalks, speed bumps, stop signs and have like Eisenhower and Pionono intersection have ALL sides stopped by a walker physically pushing a couple of buttons to get across the street without any cars being legally able to go right, straight or left for at least 60 to 120 seconds and they need a disabled button which if pressed would give them 150 seconds to cross the road in a wheelchair. But the city needs to force cars to slow down. The police don't have people who just enforces speed. And they really need a cop on each side of the interstate doing nothing but riding at the speed limit and flashing their lights if someone tries to speed and do that for several hours during the busiest time at least one day a week
