Description

This road has a lot of traffic. The road also has its sides falling off so that either you hold on tight to your steering wheel to prevent from running off the road or drive in the middle(which is never really an option except late at night and in the early morning). This road needs to have some major attention before a head on collision happens. There are also many children in this neighborhood who have no where to walk and to have cars barely on the road makes for a accident waiting to happen.

This has been an ongoing issue in our community. The addition of the Maxwell Place Community and the area growing faster than the infrastructure can handle mandates the widening of Maxwell Road. Maxwell Road provides access to at least three HOA communities (Estates of Hickory Woods, PepperTree and Maxwell Place). Additionally, Maxwell Road is used by pedestrians, cyclists, service, utility and delivery vehicles daily as well as other homeowners not affiliated with an HOA community. Maxwell Road is in need of immediate service, repair and expansion to avoid the potential of property damage or worse. It's imparative that Metro Public Works examines the use of Maxwell Place for the purpose of servicing, repair and widening the road for public use.

This issue still has not been fixed. Head on collision is bound to happen.

I see a request for inspection has been issued. However that was in March. We are about to be in October. This issue is a potential death trap. I guess some poor kid riding their bike or walking will have to get hit before anything is done. Sad.

Still no results. This road is detereoration on one side requring those cars to ride center of the lane. When another car is coming in the opposite direction it is a hold your breath and close your eyes kind of deal. This orignial complaint is coming up to a year of being opened. Public works said a request for inspection was issued yet this was in March. We are at the end of October, thanks for the quick response Public Works, Not!

I live in this area and find this to be a very dangerous road due to its condition. Why was Maxwell Place area paved but not Maxwell Rd. itself? Why has public works said they would come out to inspect and if they really did they would see this road is in need of repair. Someone came recently and cut back the brush which I was hoping would be so they could work on the road. The brush has since grown back and still no fixed road. What is the point of letting Metro know there is a problem(going on 2 years now) if they don't plan to do anything about it. I've seen a Metro Officer set up radar, which I'm sure he didn't get anybody because you can't speed down a bumpy half paved road very well. Our tax dollars at "work"
