Description
6920 Sandalwood Place NE
Owners have moved across town. Shrubs by sidewalk hang over on both sides, impeding foot traffic. Pyracantha has to be cut at expense of neighbor; shrubs dying, fences rotting and falling down. Weeds wild. Tolerated by city because owners are political donors. Mailbox at curb rusting. Ruins looks of nice neighborhood.

Maybe no one reported it to YOU, but people from the city have been out on 2 separate occasions,
and were appalled at the condition!
They took pictures. Nothing happened, because the owners
have political connections. It has been like this for YEARS!
Believe me, none of our neighbors like it!
They used to be the President and Vice President of the Cherry Hills Civic Assoc., for about 30 years!
Now no one in the city has the nerve to tell them to clean it up.
Dare you to look at it, and see if you would like to live on our street.

The poster wrote in to say, "Miracles still happen! I don't know who, but someone has been working on the property a bit. THEY PAINTED THE UGLY MAILBOX! Cut some pyrocantha, and took a few of the leaves. It looks like about 30% of the over-growth is gone. Better than nothing!
Thanks for helping!

I guess I should not have bothered to share the progress with you. What part of 30% done sounds like finished to you?
I just thought you would be glad that something was attended to after all these years!
