At the Rt 29 / Military&Quincy intersection, the left turn movement has been modified in such a way that cars must now turn in front of each other. The previous format was cars turning after they passed each other in the intersection. The new format is unsafe. The respective north and south points on Military/Quincy are too far away from the corresponding east and west lanes on Rt 29.

It's near impossible to make a left turn from Military to Rt 29 E when traffic turning left from Quincy to Rt 29 W.

There are several unsafe aspects to this intersection. People turning left from Military Rd (onto Rte 29) and from N Quincy (onto Rte 29) nearly collide every morning. Then there are plenty of people who don't want to sit in the right-hand lane between about 8:40 and 9 am on Military and then continue on straight from the left lane, which causes some near collisions as they cross over onto N Quincy. And to make matters even uglier, there are the people who want to make a left from in front of the Old Dominion Dry Cleaners (which is actually Lee Hwy there, I believe) onto Military Rd. I have been and have witness people getting stuck in the middle of that intersection and nearly getting obliterated by oncoming Rte 29 traffic in both directions. It's an ugly intersection, esp during rush hour.
