Description
When installing the new side walks by our house, about 6 inches were left exposed on our retaining wall, leaving the bottom of the wall footed by dirt. It looks like they tried to patch part of it, but it is not done well and I am worried the wall is now structurally undermined. Furthermore, the section with the yellow pad slopes towards the wall (not the street) so water pools there. Can someone please contact us to discuss how to fix?

Hello,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I have met with the contractor at this location yesterday, and indeed you are correct. We took some measurements, and the yellow pad does slope towards the wall, away from the street, while the sidewalk slopes to the street.
I have instructed the contractor to place more mortar around the foundation wall and to raise the yellow pad up slightly so that it slopes to the street. The contractor has put this issue on a list for them to complete post road paving. Thank you again for your patience.
