  It's a little hard to tell from the photo, but the hellstrip is really gouged out. What little dirt is left is below the curb/street level. It's basically a trough. Something needs to happen there.

  Still a problem. This whole section of street, the hellstrip is a trench. Some sections are even worse than the ones near me.

  Still a thing. Maybe if you won't do the curb, just fill it up with gravel? I tried filling it in with wood chips, but the garbage and delivery trucks gouged it back out within a week. And there's sections on this block much worse than mine.

  Fill it with gravel. Most of the block is like this.

  Thanks for your patience. This issue has been reviewed; however, we do not have a good short term solution. Gravel tends to cause other problems, and it appears that the addition of soil will washed away quickly without the curb raised. Engineering has been made aware of the issue to consider in any longer term improvements.
