Description

A storm drain in front of the driveway of 31 Rockland Place is in danger of collapsing and creating a huge sinkhole in the street. A large hole approximately 6 feet DEEP and 2 feet wide has developed directly next to the storm drain. A small child could fall into this hole and become trapped and/or drown. This issue needs to be addressed immediately. Newton DPW has placed a barricade over the hole and the storm drain, but repairs must be made as soon as the weather allows.
