Description

For some idiotic reason, only a single turning lane exists from Blackburn road (next to the 7-11 and Chevy dealer) to Rte. 1 South. Rte. 1 at this location is a 4 lane road, which can easily handle two lanes of turners. Because only one lane exisits massive backups occur during peak travel times and people simply ignore the traffic signs and turn anyway. Of course the larger issue is the poor traffic management from Rippon Blvd to Rte. 234 as Rte. 1 should be 3-4 lanes all the way from the Fairfax to Stafford County line.
