Description
I travel Toll House road from home every day to get to work off of St. Johns Lane. Today was the worse it has been for me! With the accident on 29, traffic was backed up both ways on Toll House. And with the flashing light, there were not many people feeding into it off of Frederick Road stopping as a courtesy to let a few cars through. Traffic is relatively heavy here in the morning and the visibility turning west onto Frederick is hindered because of the 29 bridge. Has the county ever considered making this a full traffic light? I think it needs to be!

When considering the possibility of a traffic signal at a given location, we are required to follow the guidelines set forth in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The MUTCD, a Federal Highway Administration document that is used nationally and adopted by Maryland and its jurisdictions, outlines minimum requirements to ensure that traffic signals are used where they are found to be justified through a comprehensive and objective analysis.
Traffic volume/turning movement counts are to be conducted when the school year resumes for more accurate data for warranting analysis. In the meanwhile, please contact the Howard County Police for enforcement in the area if speeding is perceived.
Thank you for your patience.

NO TRAFFIC LIGHT.
Just need to put 3-way stop signs.
Also, need 3-way stop signs at Tollhouse and Old Columbia Pike too. Drivers would rather block the intersection than to let someone from Tollhouse onto Old Columbia Pike.
