As Ft. Bliss continues to expand the likelihood of isolation will grow. Promote dense living, bringing military families to old neighborhoods and downtown (instead of insta-towns on the outskirts) by making it easier to get to work with rapid transit to Main Post and East Ft. Bliss. With sufficient planning working with the military to create special Ft. Bliss commuter busses could be a boon for SunMetro and (on the Military side) allow for development of an extensive base transport system to include a bike share program.
