The median in front of the old Edward White hospital is over grown and the grass is knee high Not only does this look bad it also is prime area for mosquitoes. With malaria cases in neighboring counties, this is concerning When the property was privately owned, it was regularly maintained It is my understanding that the city or some governmental entity purchased the property for public housing for seniors If that is true, it seems like the city or some other government agency now owns the property, which makes it more strange why the grass is so high Thank you

The City can not investigate Code Compliance requests from anonymous sources. On June 29, 2021, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 60 into law, which no longer allows code enforcement officers to investigate anonymous complaints. The 2021 law states, “A person designated as a code inspector may not initiate an investigation of a potential violation of a duly enacted code or ordinance by way of an anonymous complaint. A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide his or her name and address to the governing body of the respective board of county commissioners before an investigation occurs.”
