Yes, this needs to be fixed ASAP. As I'm typing I can look out of my window at a huge chunk of asphalt that's simply lying at the side of the road, with a huge pothole next to it. And when I say fix it, I don't mean pour in some more cheap concrete that'll last 2, 3 months in order to ensure that Public Works have something to do, but mill it and pave it properly. The simple fact that the stretch between Prospect and Gulf, as well as past the Route 1 intersection are properly paved shows that it's possible. Milford needs to get off their @#$% and do something about this road, I've lived here for 4 years, and nothing is ever done about this stretch other than the occasional (bad) spot fix.
