Description
This property was cleared back in May and many structures were taken down (finally)! Since then it has not been mowed and the area is not only overgrown but it's also a place for weeds to grow and spread as well as fungus and disease. This is also an ideal location for mice, rats and other small rodents.
Please do not tell me that because of the rain it's been hard for the owner to tend to because everyone else in Enfield is trying to keep up with their mowing around the rain as well.
If this man can afford to purchase all these properties in town then he should be able to maintain them as well and the Town of Enfield should enforce this too.
It's an eyesore to say the least!!! I take pride in keeping my property cleared and all I'm asking is that this property is maintained as well.

Here it is, August 21st, 34 days later and nothing has been done by the town OR the property owner, which is listed as "The Shops @ Elm St. Square". What good is this system if all you're going to do is respond that "an inspector will be dispatched to verify your complaint"? What was his findings? What is the resolution?
And please do not tell me that more information has not become available.
I was told initially when I called that "because it is conservation land the agreement was that it had to be mowed twice a year". Well, it was demolished back on March 29th and it has never been mowed yet! And please do not tell me that it's been mowed recently as it was BUT only the tree belt and about two feet by the sidewalk on the property side and that was because Mariella in the Blight Dept. told me she would have him mow the tree belt.
I cannot believe that the town would make an agreement for just the tree belt and a few feet in to be mowed twice a year and if so, shame on you!!!
It's an eye sore and a breeding ground and quite frankly the town should be ashamed to let this property go for this long. It would behoove the town to address this issue with the property owner posthaste!
