Along Nieman Road and also on Johnson Drive there are lawn irrigation systems that spray water across sidewalks, making pedestrian use impossible. We respectfully request the City of Shawnee work with all owners who own land along these sidewalks to reconstruct their lawn irrigation systems so as to not interfere with normal pedestrian traffic. These systems make Shawnee a less walkable city and are a direct violation of 12.06.210 - Prohibition of Nuisances in the Right-of-Way. The particular picture uploaded at at the bus stop on Nieman Road. The bus stop and the sidewalk around are being sprayed by water from a lawn irrigation system, just south of the intersection of Nieman & Roger Road. Among the other violators are Central Bank on Nieman Road, the new park west of Old Shawnee Pizza, the lawn south of the pool that's located on Flint & Johnson Drive, St. Joe Church and School, the First Baptist, and perhaps a few others I do not currently recall.
