if you are going north on Fair Oaks Ln, or south on Palmer Ln, turning onto middlefield is very dangerous, since west-bound traffic cannot see you around the corner. This spot has seen several accidents in the recent past, including bikers being ran over. If you're a pedestrian, the situation is even more dangerous (as is typical of Atherton, pedestrians are never taken into consideration).
