Description
The sidewalks under the train bridge are unlit. There is often empty liquor bottles, drug paraphernalia, human feces, and other debris because homeless use the area as a shelter. Because the area is unlit and covered there is a lot of illegal activity and walking there alone at night cannot possibly be safe.
I have lived in this area for almost 2 years and I have watched the area grow, I am surprised that a light still hasn't been installed.
The area is also a well known speed-trap where cops hide on the southbound side just after the street goes under the train bridge. The road dips down under the bridge and comes back up where the cops are. Many people are pulled over and it seems a blinking yellow light under the bridge would be more beneficial than pulling people over on the upside of a hill after a speed limit change.
