From whitney to eagle street on willow - AWFUL potholes - both bumpy and deep potholes. Please fix!!!!

The city doesn't care about this issue. It's been reported over and over the past couple of years. In the beginning they posted responses, claiming that they would fix the problem. They came out a couple of times to make patches, but the patches don't last...the whole street needs to be repaved. About a year ago they posted on here that repaving was on their schedule, but it never happened. It seems like the plan now is to let the pavement wear away to the point where Willow St. becomes a dirt road and then they can lay a new street from scratch!

It is very frustrating and the managers of our city need to look at this issue.

We, the residents have been asked by our city to use the SeeClickFix online tool to report community affecting issues. The effectiveness of a tool requires meaningful participation by the city ... including a response that includes a commitment and follow through of that commitment. This appears to be totally lacking. In fact lately the tool is more a dialogue among the residents making it a total waste of the resident's time and efforts.

Andrea, you are so very correct! This SCF site has just become a sounding board for residents and seems like most of the posts are completely ignored/unacknowledged by the city. Willow has been a mess of potholes for YEARS and it gets ignored year after year, despite the many MANY postings about it on this site. I love how the language in the "City of New Haven" postings includes phrases like "We can only do this together!" Well, that includes YOU, city of New Haven!
