Nothing has been done by the city to address this problem in WEEKS. The streets around the courthouse all the way into downtown are poorly maintained with cars parking wherever they want without getting ticketed or towed. It's a disgrace.

The Malden Traffic Department has been notified and will follow-up on this issue, thank you.

Please Malden police start towing and lets get the traffic moving again through the city.

Highland Avenue has been tough to navigate this winter with the snow and parking on both sides. Might be a good idea to have one side parking??? There is a 2 hour limit, but cars park on the even side for days at a time. Makes it hard with all the snow.
I think the DPW is doing the best they can with all the snow we've had the past month. I also wish they would start ticketing and towing the people who don't follow the rules. Trying to get out of the driveway is brutal.

No room for two lanes with cars on both sides. It's much better now that they've done some snow removal though.

This issue has been forwarded to the Malden DPW. The DPW is and has been in the process of clearing the snow banks that are impeding travel and parking. They have crews working day and night clearing these areas. With historical amounts of snowfall, the DPW and contractors are doing the very best they can with the resources they have to alleviate these issues, but it takes time. They will get to Highland Avenue as soon as they can. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented winter weather pattern, Captain Glenn Cronin, Malden Police Department.

The people who are parking are the ones who need to be more considerate, especially the repeat offenders. Thanks you, again!

I appreciate that the DPW is doing the best they can and I would never expect the city to clear my parking spot whether it be in my driveway or on the street! The city does however have the ability to ticket and tow these vehicles and should be doing this everyday! Please do not let these violators block up city streets just because they are to lazy to get out a shovel. Please enforce the parking rules and start towing these vehicles, it is clear ticketing is not working.

The city has been tagging vehicles along all the major corridors throughout the city. The Malden Police Department has towed almost 400 cars since Blizzard Juno. Relatively speaking, we have towed more cars than Boston. However, towing a vehicle is yet another temporary solution as people who have there cars towed will need to park again. The snow banks are the major issue and will eventually be removed from the area. Ticketing will continue, thank you.

Highland ave is a snow emergency route , no parking , towing during snow emergencies ...So during the storms & several snow emergencies Cars were not parked on this street , if they were ,,,they were towed ..so plows could get to curb both sides of highland ave ... Why were main arteries in Malden not plowed curb to curb like the system is designed for public safety for fire trucks etc.. Sorry just is,,

I believe the Malden DPW has done an excellent job keeping all roads passable for emergency vehicles throughout all the storms we have had. The cars parking in the middle of the road is what is now creating a hazard for all concerned.

I agree, guest! I wouldn't want their job this winter. Tough for all involved, so we need to have patience. These guys were working day and night to try to make things better.
Trying to report facts and not throw blame. Potholes everywhere from heaving and plowing. We can't blame them for all that is wrong.
