The sidewalk on the left was shoveled but the plow blocked the curb so it doesn't matter that it was shoveled because you can't cross the street at Spring.
The other side is an accident waiting to happen. The snow pile is is too high to see over. It has been ok because cars have been driving slowly up Tremont from Salem. Now that much of the street snow is gone, cars are flying up Tremont again, so anyone trying to drive down Spring can't see them coming. Very dangerous. Not to mention that most of the Spring St. traffic is going to the school on Mountain Ave. The snow bank needs to be chopped down or removed.

This hasn't been touched, was an accident at this intersection yesterday morning.

I was over there this afternoon with our Public Works Director Bob Knox. We are going to try and address in the near future. In the meantime, thank you for letting us know.

The sidewalks are shoveled. The snowbanks at the corners make it impossible to shovel. The homeowners made pathways that lead onto the street to go around the snowbanks.

Shoveling the sidewalks is not the issue here - the SIZE of the snowbanks is the problem! They need to be REMOVED with bobcats or front-end loaders or whatever, to make it safe for both pedestrians and motorists.

and here is the snowbank on the corner that 100% blocks the view of oncoming traffic that you have to blindly turn into. Impossible to shovel? can i send the city a bill for $25 per hour if i go fix it?
