Speed humps solve nothing. I live on 20th St with humps right in front of my house. All it produces is excess noise and pollution from cars braking and accelerating to slow down while they speed elsewhere along the road -- sometimes they don't slow down and we have seen cars literally AIRBORNE! Speed humps do not make the traffic calm in this neighborhood.

What we need is better and safer egress out onto the main roads like 62nd Ave. This subdivision is so large, it takes forever to get out of and then you are faced with no traffic signals for left turns onto 62nd Ave.

i understand your concerns and what you are saying, but there is no problem with egress to the main road in regards to 17th st. I have seen people turn at 66th ave off 16th st, and take 17th st north to cross 70th ave all just to avoid the stop sign and crossing guard at 70th ave & 16th st. Speeds over 30mph are being reached between 66th ave and 70th Ave. It's bad enough that all through the day and evening hrs you can hear cars excellerating to excessive speeds on 16th st. I do not believe that tjis is an egress issue at in this area, i believe it is a blanton disrespect for a neighborhood! Unfortunately, nothing will be done until some poor child is ininjured! Why live in a neighborhood, where your kuds are not safe to play or ride their bikes......

Cars speeding every day from 16th St. down 70th Ave. to lynch lake and lynch elementary there are no speed bumps so this is now the new area where everyone drives too fast especially around school to arrival and dismissal times also there's a new epidemic of these little cars with noisy mufflers ridiculous Police need to do something

That's the problem : every time you put in speed humps, it just directs speeding traffic elsewhere. It's stupid to try to fix this problem with humps when police should be policing it... The speed humps are too large to drive over at the posted speed limit as well.

This car with two different colored fenders parked on the southside of Lynch lake repeatedly speeds around the lake down 70th Ave. to 16th St. with noisy muffler going 40 to 50 miles an hour somebody needs to have a chat with this idiot hope the police are watching this and do something

How about some speed enforcement on 16th St. N As a long time resident of Meadowlawn I remember about every month or so that police used to radar on 16th St. between 62nd and 70th Ave. they did it off enough that everyone knew to go slow,now you can hear noisy cars and motorcycles going 60-70 mph or more. maybe a few speeding tickets will slow down some of these idiots down before someone gets hurt. Seems like we never see any police in this neighborhood around Lynch Elem school start and dismissal times like you see around Northeast High all the time !!!

So it's been 9 days and nothing changed. Noisy Camry still speeding east and west on 70th Ave from 16th st to Lynch Lake. Calling police is a waste of time as they can't do anything unless they see it,well they can't see anything because they are never in the area. That's why all theses cars burglaries are happening through out Meadowlawn.

I passed a peititon to get speed humps for this area took me about three weeks to get signatures
I was told there were enough people who wanted a speed bump in this location but all said and done nobody wanted it in their front yard.

Is there a way to get this reopened? The traffic issues in meadowlawn are getting worse with what feels like no response from the city or law enforcement.

That's nothing ! Try living on the Kritzman, Hoiioway expressway(1st ave North). The cars race down the street, just to sit at the stop light on 49th. Itt's great when the motorcycle cops catch speeders in the morning. To bad the youngsters are afraid to pull over speeders at night.

You might want to ask the mayor why patrol officers don't have radar in the patrol cars. You know this is the era of technology.

Same issue here on 17th lane north between 70th avenue and 73rd people go flying down the street and almost all go to 17th way or coming from it. We really need speed humps too

Parents go fast in neighborhood to pick up kids at lynch and loud booming stereos. We need police by Lynch also

We even have school buses pulling off 16th St to 'rest' on 74th Ave N. We are NOT a public parking lot - and in addition to that - the parents of these school children have them take the bus to 16th and 74th Ave then meet them there in cars! This area of 16th St and 74th Ave N has become an extension of the schools facilities. They block intersections and homeowners cannot even travel in and out of their neighborhoods without the risks of accidents anymore. It's become a ridiculous situation we are now a school parking lot!!!

My Lord!!! This has been reported as far back as Feb and nothing is changing??? What's going on here??

Still 3 years later & our neighborhood is having the same traffic issues!! Speeding cars, traffic avoiding 16th st during school hours, racing and speeding down 16th St like its a drag strip!! I guess our home values aren't enough for the city to care!!

The city is Only interested in wasting millions of dollars on sculptures downtown.. They DO NOT Care about infrastructure, actually fixing and maintaining the entire city, They DO NOT care about the actual Home Owners, very sad situation this city is in… Definitely need New leadership.
