Similar issue was reported in 2013. Here is an excerpt of correspondence to the Mayor's office:
The drainage canal that runs next to the North Branch Library on Dr MLK @ 71st Ave N [north side of Fossil Park] is in need of attention.
There is severe erosion due to over-mowing of the banks, which is causing collapse of the banks into the canal.
The canal & drainage pipes are filling up with mud and tree roots along the banks are exposed, which will cause them to topple in a storm.
In addition, the ground [particularly along the north bank] is depressed/sinking, especially on the south side of the library.
Other contributing factors to the deterioration of the banks are:
1.) excessive traffic of non-residents
2.) parking of trucks along the banks while net-casting
3.) commercial vehicle , trailer & cars parking on the grass along 8th St, which impedes residents & service vehicles from accessing the service alley.
These 3 items could be addressed relatively easily with proper signage prohibiting parking & net casting.

City staff periodically review past SCF reports that are made both from citizens and internally from various departments, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
Thank you,
