in the storm drain repair, you have now installed chain link fencing on the INSIDE of the new concrete siding, making the roadway/shoulders even narrower for walkers than they were before. This is a winding road with blind turns...and lots of families/kids walking to Aragon HS, Crystal Springs Uplands and South Elementary. The kids are terrified on that road, the construction COULD have provided sidewalks, but now with the new fences is making the situation worse and less safe than ever. Please reconsider the fence placement--we need sidewalks in South Hillsborough

The recently installed fence is temporary and has been installed to provide privacy for the residents immediately adjoining the locations where the shoulders were stabilized with drilled piers. The temporary fence will be removed at the completion of the project; however, the pre-existing fence will be replaced at 773 El Cerrito Ave.
Unfortunately, due to the proximity to San Mateo Creek and the configuration of the roadway, installation of sidewalk on this segment of El Cerrito Ave. is not possible without the Town condemning private property and acquiring additional right-of-way. The Town will continue to look for opportunities to provide pedestrian safe pathways in accordance with the Circulation Element of the Town’s General Plan.
