Photos of the inlets on Wachusett Rd. are attached. The first show what the drains looked like after the most recent storm, followed by photos of what they looked like after I cleared them. The curb opening is insufficient for drainage, and nearly always clogs and floods during rain storms. During the recent rain storm, the flooding was substantial, the water did not remediate, and so a large volume of water came onto and damaged my property at 68 Wachusett Rd.

Water, Sewer & Drain Division staff is scheduled to investigate this SCF within the next few days.

How has the issue been addressed? I saw that the department cleaned out the drains. Thank you for doing that. But, the curb opening is still insufficient for drainage and the drain is still insufficient to manage the volume of water and debris that comes from both sides of the street. The next time we have a heavy rain it will likely be overwhelmed again, which will, in turn, cause further damage to my property. Thanks for your help with this issue.

Need a town petition to hire outside engineers to resolve all areas of town for antiquated storm drainage systems since 1700’s
Current town departments haven’t resolved in last 10 years I have reported same issue.. departments do nothing, retire, rear ends in chair change and even less gets done now with ones hired into this overgrown bureaucracy… time to subcontract out these jobs to professionals please

Circling back on this issue. The drains clogged again last week during the rain storms. I cleared them before they pooled. Please let me know when and how this issue will be meaningfully addressed. Thank you.

Any updates on interim fix, long term fix?
Suggest a lawyer and petition needed and tax abatements til all areas of town addressed for antiquated sewer system and drainage… while money spent on fancy red chairs on town commons or school
